Victoriapark West is located in the south of Hoofddorp between the Bennebroekerweg and the Nieuwe Bennebroekerweg, west of the public transportation line. In april 2017, a development plan was established for this new residential area. Amongst others it stipulates that up to 180 houses (ground-dwelling and apartments) will be built.
Victoriapark: Tudor Park style and high level sustainability
The 180 houses can be built with a maximum height of 21 meters. 30% will be formed by social housing. Victoriapark has a high level of sustainability and will have no gas connections.
In urban structure, Victoriapark resembles the principles of ZuiderHoeven with courts and agricultural ensembles, albeit with a more urban character. On the Bennebroekerweg, small grains are the starting point, separate volumes combined with courts behind them, green spaces bordered by residential buildings. The backdrop is more urban with apartment buildings.
Victoriapark West will have the style of Tudor Park, which features the England of Victoria and Edward. This is translated to a more urban context with apartment buildings, creating an urban edge to the area. The English court buildings of Oxford and Cambridge are a source of inspiration.
A park strip of approximately 20 meters will be realized on the northern side.
Estimated construction date of this project is 2020.
Southeastern part of Hoofddorp
Victoriapark is located in the popular southeastern part of Hoofddorp. In this area 6 new residential areas will be realized with approximately 3,500 homes, of which over 400 are under construction or completed. In Nassaupark, there will be up to 300 homes, approximately 1,250 in Tudor Park, 130 in Tudor Gardens, 700 in Victoria Park, 850 in Lincoln Park and a yet to be specified number in Roosevelt Park. In the eastern corner recreational/commercial facilities and a hotel are planned between the Bennebroekerweg and Nieuwe Bennebroekerweg.
