Building sector wants to build 1 million new homesPublished on 18-05-2018
The building sector aims to build no less than 1 million new houses until 2030. The plan is to invest 200 billion euro’s during the coming 10 to 15 years. In order to achieve this, the builders want to join forces with the government.
Neprom, the branch organisation of project developers, presented the investment strategy of fourteen financially strong project developers, investors and building companies, to the minister of Home Affairs Kajsa Ollogren.
Bart van Breukelen, chairman of Neprom, states that a precondition to the construction of one million dwellings, is that the government will invest a lot, including in the infrastructure and in the necessary sanitation of business activities that harm the environment in cities and urban area’s.
